This past weekend Tommy was scheduled to perform in Chicago at the Gaelic Park Irish Fest. Sadly after stepping out on to the stage it was apparent Tommy was having a hard time talking much alone singing. After 3 numbers he had to excuse himself and he apologized to the crowd that he was no longer able to continue his set and he walked off to a standing ovation. There was hardly a dry eye in the house. Rory his youngest son continued on for Tommy. Tommy was still unable to perform the next day and as Rory said this was terribly hard on Tommy because he takes his job very seriously...and didn't want to disappoint his many fans.
